For over 20 years, Kresten Osgood has been at the heart of Danish music. He has been called “the best thing that has happened in Danish jazz since the 80s”, “The Wildman in the Danish jazz coat of arms” and the newspaper headline in Information: “The trend in Danish jazz is called Osgood” is unmistakable. During all that time, Osgood has been identified with his regular group: “Kresten Osgood Og Hvad er Klokken”, which has made the world uncertain with its extreme concerts, where all extremes have been tested. In recent years, Osgood has also embraced a new quintet, which is entirely his own. Together, the distinctive members of the quintet take Osgood's compositions as a starting point in a playful and creative exploration of the essence of jazz.
