Making their debut, this ensemble features some of the leading string players in Europe and has toured throughout the UK and Belgium. Last summer, the quartet performed two concerts at the prestigious Lammermuir Festival in Scotland with one of their champions, Jeremy Denk.

Formed in 2022, the Valo Quartet (Valo, meaning “light” in Finnish) unites four highly sought-after artists from across Europe. Their Philadelphia debut features cherished works by Debussy and Brahms, alongside the U.S. premiere of Soisin, Finnish composer Minna Leinonen’s homage to the swamps of her homeland.
