Palma de Mallorca meets Barcelona—at least in the form of the two Spanish virtuosos Francisco Fullana and Alba Ventura. But their predominantly Spanish program also combines—figuratively speaking—idyllic island life with the vibrant metropolis: The two talents, who have joined forces for a CD recording in 2023, bring with them works such as Joaquín Turina's atmospheric "Sonata española," Enrique Granado's spirited violin sonata, and Pablo de Sarasate's famous and fiery "Zigeunerweisen." And not only Spanish, but also passionate French sounds by Francis Poulenc and Maurice Ravel will be heard at their exclusive concert debut at Schloss Johannisberg.
