The marvelous young conductor Liubov Nosova weaves a glittering tapestry through the ranks of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Russian powerhouse Sergei Babayan, known as the "pianist's pianist," rolls out the supercharged Fourth Piano Concerto by Sergei Rachmaninoff. The concert opens with an atmospheric work by Puerto Rican composer Angélica Negrón and ends with a scrumptious tone poem based on The Little Mermaid by Alexander Zemlinsky.

Following the success of previous editions, the Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie and the Comédie du Livre – 10 jours en mai (10 Days in May) are continuing their collaboration with this now-established event. Each year, this event brings together a guest writer and the orchestra's musicians for a program blending music and literature. Text and music interact for an evening in a concert-reading format that creates a dialogue between the two disciplines. More details to come.
