This concert features members of the MDR Symphony Orchestra together with the Stiehle-Lucaciu duo, performing arrangements by Andres Reukauf and Peter Lawrence. The duo, Sascha Stiehler (piano/presentation) and Antonio Lucaciu (saxophone/vocals/presentation), represents a unique fusion of classical, pop, and jazz. The musicians tell the stories of everyday life, lying on the sidewalk, waiting to be discovered – more with their instruments than with their voices. As renowned musicians on the German music scene, the two Leipzig natives have already performed with music greats such as Clueso, Daniel Hope, Max Prosa, Günther "Baby" Sommer, Elif, and Sarah Lesch, and have appeared on numerous TV shows.
