For his final concert of the season, artist in residence Kian Soltani delves into classical Persian music and thus into his family history: Soltani's parents came to Austria in the 1970s to study music. His father, Khosro Soltani, is a bassoonist and recorder player, as well as the Persian wind instruments ney and duduk. He plays with these instruments in the Ensemble Shiraz, which has performed regularly with Kian Soltani and his cello for several years.
