For the Centennial Celebration’s final night, a group of stellar instrumentalists and fusion-era Miles Davis alumni come together as Miles Electric, a multi-generational band specializing in the wired-up and funky music Davis created from the late 1960s to the ‘80s on albums including Bitches Brew and You’re Under Arrest.

World-renowned percussionist, composer, arranger, producer, author, and four-time Grammy winner Munyungo Jackson brings “Jungle Jazz”– a mixture of African, Latin, and Caribbean grooves complemented by Munyungo’s American jazz roots–to the stage. With over 1,200 instruments in his arsenal, and years playing with legends like Stevie Wonder, Munyungo accumulates it all for an evening of worldly, funky jazz.
