See – or revisit – this wacky, musical children’s production based on Ole Lund Kirkegaard’s beloved stories.

Imagine if the children from Ole Lund Kirkegaard’s books all lived in the same house – the Corner House. Here, you’ll find Topper, his friend Viggo, and Ivan Olsen with their families, the coffee-loving aunt, and the caretaker, while Topper’s sort-of girlfriend, Sille, whizzes past on her bicycle.

On the ground floor, Café Blue Catfish is up for sale, and the Hodja family is about to move in. Mr Hodja wants to open a tailor’s shop, convinced that his son should follow in his footsteps. But Hodja dreams of seeing the whole world on his flying carpet. Meanwhile, Ivan, up in the attic, just wants to be himself – not the tough, manly boy his father insists he should be.

Winnie finds herself buried up to her waist in a pile of dung, but is determined to carry on with her chores as best she can. With her is a small bag, an umbrella, and her husband Willie. Despite the relentless sun and the fact that she is slowly sinking deeper and deeper into the pile, Winnie insists that this is a happy day; every day is a happy day.
