Because sometimes it takes great courage to show your true self. Together with the new ensemble members of the Schauspiel Hannover and an international dance ensemble, writer and director Falk Richter explores stories of pride and shame, of life as a queer* person, and of the fears and hopes that come with coming out. The media crossover production "PRIDE" invites the Hanover audience on a striking journey through the resistant, invisible history and present of the Federal Republic of Germany (and Lower Saxony). The achievements and the current threats to the struggle for equality and freedom for all people are narrated by a diverse ensemble from different generations and with different perspectives—creating a multi-layered, intimate portrait of Germany in the fall of 2025.
