Join us for an evocative performance by Kyle Dacuyan, titled "Dad Rock," as part of The Shed's Open Call series. This episodic monologue delves into themes of information, media, surveillance, and remote violence through a blend of poetry, movement, and music. Dacuyan dissects cultural constructs of masculinity, exploring the experiences and traumas that shape heroes, fathers, and empires. The performance navigates from personal introspection to broader geopolitical contexts, offering a volatile yet tender narrative.
