Join Celebrated pianist Andy Armstrong for his latest Chamber Series: Andy & Friends. Not only does Andy bring some of his internationally acclaimed musician friends together, but you'll likely feel like one of Andy's friends by the end of the performance! Guest artists include Stefan Jackiw, violin, Geneva Lewis, violin,  Indra Thonas, mezzo-soprano, Eriko Daimo, Marimba, and the Barbican Quartet.

Sound becomes color in the world premiere of composer Pius Cheung’s marimba concerto alongside Lutosławski’s Concerto for Orchestra.

We luxuriate in endless shades of sound in a program that centers around the world premiere of internationally renowned and Eugene-based composer Pius Cheung’s Hibiki (Colors of Resonance), performed by marimba virtuoso Eriko Daimo. The textures and timbres of the orchestra are on full display as they perform Hildur Guðnadóttir’s meditative People Get Faces and Claude Debussy’s fantastical and poetic Prélude, before each section of the orchestra is celebrated in Witold Lutosławski’s Concerto for Orchestra.

Experience Eugene Ballet’s power in Suzanne Haag’s Heaven and Earth, a world premiere ballet with music composed by Eugene percussionist Pius Cheung. Heaven and Earth explores the dynamic forces of sight and sound with live music by Orchestra Next featuring Pius Cheung and Eriko Daimo. The program includes the Oregon premiere of Age of Innocence, the rich and alluring work by special guest choreographer and BalletMet Artistic Director Edwaard Liang.
