Giovanni Bonato's music and Marco Albino Ferrari's lyrics, harmonized thanks to the directorial work of Andrea Brunello, tell a powerful and evocative story: the death and rebirth of the Avez del Prinzep, the tallest and longest-lived silver fir in Europe, which once stood tall in the woods of the Cimbrian Plateaus of Lavarone, in Trentino. The evening's protagonists are the instruments—two violins, a viola, and a cello—created by luthier Gianmaria Stelzer with soundboards and soundboards made from the wood of the great centuries-old tree, which collapsed in 2017.
