The evening comes and Pjotr begins. But it goes wrong. He falters, he stumbles, he stammers. The councillor panics: 'a prince cannot read like this'. The queen is terrified: 'this is really wrong!' But Pjotr does not understand the problem: 'my head simply goes faster than my mouth ', he says. 'Get that stutter out of it', the queen shouts at her wits' end. The councillor knows a solution.
