On Saturday April 5, 2025, in Alice Tully Hall, the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra is doing a concert entitled Extended Masterpieces in Jazz. The program explores long-form writing for the jazz orchestra including Chico O’Farrill's “Afro Cuban Suite No. 1.” It also includes works by Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, and Charles Mingus.
