Giulio Cesare has defeated his enemy Pompeo and chased him all the way to Egypt. Against Caesare's will, however, Pompeo was then executed by the Egyptian king Tolomeo. The wife and son of the slain man swear to avenge him. Cleopatra, meanwhile, wants the Egyptian throne all to herself. In order to get it, she must get rid of her brother Tolomeo and win Cesare's support. She seduces him, he falls for her - and makes Cleopatra Queen of Egypt.

The centre of Bridget Breiner's examination of the fairytale is not Clara, the Cinderella, but Livia, one of her stepsisters. What happens when one of the most famous fairytales is told from the perspective of one of the antagonists? Isn't "evil" a question of perspective? Suffering from her mother's power games, Livia discovers her counterpart in Clara. Admiration and fascination turn into jealousy. The story follows its familiar course: the prince chosen by her mother for Livia finds true love in Clara. But Livia goes her own way, frees herself from the constraints of her environment and takes her life into her own hands.

But Prince Kalaf, who is unknown in the kingdom, passes the trial. Turandot desperately searches for a way to escape marriage to the much-hated man... With “Nessun dorma”, Puccini created one of the most famous tenor arias in opera literature. For the Taiwanese director Huan-Hsiung Li, Puccini's opera is a fairy tale, which he tells in the form of a dream that drifts back to the ancient Yuan dynasty.

A dance performance without an audience. Is that possible? Only if the audience themselves become actors! In "Inside Out" you experience a choreography by dancing along with dancers from the Ballett am Rhein. Each participant will be given headphones through which tasks for joining in will be played. No previous dance experience required.
