The Opera Workshop is a compact seminar in which participants learn all the key aspects of an opera production. It typically takes place on Friday evenings (usually from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and the following Saturday in a six-hour block with appropriate breaks. Elisabeth Stöppler's production of "Stockhausen for Children: Michael's Journey" offers children ages 6 and up, as well as adults, a sensory experience of Karlheinz Stockhausen's cycle "Light," a monumental work of the younger musical avant-garde.
