Oscar Wilde used this mental sigh to create his last and most popular comedy to date, The Importance of Being Earnest . Gerd Natschinski chose the successful material as the basis for a musical in 1964. Max Hopp is staging this "top work of cheerful musical theater" in the GDR with all its quirks in the tent!
