To kick off the season, the hr Symphony Orchestra and the European Central Bank are once again inviting you to an open-air concert. In the extraordinary atmosphere on the banks of the Main in Frankfurt, you can expect wonderful music and an inspiring summer concert evening with chief conductor Alain Altinoglu. More than 20,000 visitors are regularly thrilled by the hr Symphony Orchestra at the summer concert evenings on the banks of the Main. As always supported by "Elisabethen Quelle", this time the focus is on two popular orchestral works: Bedřich Smetana's "The Moldau" and Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" in the orchestral version by Maurice Ravel. The open-air evening on the banks of the Main in Frankfurt is also enriched by two well-known Mozart arias and Richard Wagner's Meistersinger prelude. In the early evening, the hr Big Band with Sheléa provides the first musical highlights and a good atmosphere on the Main. In keeping with tradition, gastronomic offerings round off the Europa Open Air of the hr Symphony Orchestra and the European Central Bank, to which all music lovers are once again warmly welcomed.
