Every year, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and its chief conductor open the Rheingau Music Festival in keeping with tradition. A special musical atmosphere is always created in the impressive sound space of the basilica of Eberbach Monastery. This time, the program includes two masterpieces of Czech music: the orchestral cycle "Má vlast" by Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák's Violin Concerto with Christian Tetzlaff as soloist.
