This concert offers a real discovery: the lively Concertino by Prague composer Erwin Schulhoff for the unusual combination of flute, viola and double bass. And Schulhoff was not the only one who liked this instrumentation. Milhaud's student Pierre Max Dubois also demonstrated how well the three instruments fit together. Also on the program: trios by Jean-Marie Leclair and Joseph Haydn in appropriate arrangements as well as solo and duo literature...
