Vegetarians can breathe a sigh of relief: The Casal Quartet is not playing an arrangement of Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals on this special evening . Otherwise, the three-course encounter of music and cuisine would have included turtle soup, kangaroo steak, chicken fricassee, fish fillets and perhaps pianist's sorbet for dessert. With works by Mozart, Grieg, Gershwin and Piazzolla, the four musicians from Switzerland are now giving the chefs the greatest possible freedom in the kitchen during the breaks. The sound menu is complemented by a little-known string quartet by the Bohemian Austrian Adalbert Gyrowetz. The long-time Vienna Court Theater conductor was a composer of the transition between classical and early romanticism. For the listeners' palates, this means that the plates will be playful and extremely colorful. If the Casal Quartet plays as one would expect from them, namely with delicacy and plenty of taste, then there is only one thing left to say: It's served!
