Historical instruments, gut strings and old bows are not everything. For the British Consone Quartet, founded in 2015 at the Royal College of Music in London, the name says it all: the Latin word "consone" means unison. Harmony is the goal, even for the rarity of the evening, Emilie Mayer's G major quartet. How the harmony will sound when Kristian Bezuidenhout stirs it up on the fortepiano will be shown in Mozart arrangements.
