The French ensemble Sésame, founded in 2013, sees itself as a mobile task force for chamber music. The five musicians on string instruments and piano love the unusual and experimentation - preferably with contemporary ingredients and also with the help of creative arrangements. This concert only offers the latter: The second encounter between art and cuisine at the Schwetzinger SWR Festival 2025 focuses on the impressionistic French (sound) cuisine of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The three musical courses include goose giblets as finger food ( Ma mère l'Oye for piano four hands) and dialogues from a black and white keyboard box to a soufflé with soured strings. The chefs are elderly and experienced, their names are Maurice Ravel, Ernest Chausson and (yes, there is a woman too!) Germaine Tailleferre, and the musical staff promises: The evening will be a feast for all the senses.
