What do we feel when nature awakens in spring, during a summer thunderstorm or when we look at a grey winter sky full of white snowflakes? No composer shows how these feelings can sound as convincingly as Antonio Vivaldi. But how can what moves us be translated into movement? Together with the choreographer Mourad Merzouki and dancers from the Compagnie Käfig, the French ensemble Le Concert de la Loge brings Vivaldi's works, including the four concertos entitled The Four Seasons, to dance. Moving sounds, played on historical instruments, create moving scenes in which the solo violin becomes the heroine. Notes come together to form chords, people to form groups. Music and dance become a theatre full of dazzling colours, shapes and moments of happiness, in which birds sing, winds blow, farmers dance and even a dog barks. After 20 enthusiastically celebrated performances, the Vivaldi success story stops in Schwetzingen. Let yourself be carried away!
