A decade ago, Michael Francis conducted Aaron Copland’s grand Third Symphony for a momentous occasion – his first opening night as Music Director of The Florida Orchestra. For “The Great American Symphony,” Copland sought a big finish, and he found it in his own Fanfare for the Common Man.
