Les Arts de la scène de Montmagny

Le Noeud is a meeting between the mother of an 11-year-old boy (Sandra Dumaresq) and his teacher (Édith Paquet). The atmosphere is tense; the former wants to know what pushed her son to take his own life, the latter, shaken and confused, is slow to enlighten her. Despite clashing visions and the guilt that eats away at them, the two women go back over the events together to try to understand. What was the source of this child's distress? Was he the victim or the executioner? Their verbal joust, raw and cruel, is both epic and surprising.
