At the age of 15, Constantin Heise won the national competition "Jugend musiziert" with the highest score. Two years later, he won first prize in the international music competition "Augustin Aponte" in Tenerife and was one of the youngest participants to reach the semi-finals of the renowned Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels.
