Misc, a Montreal-based mutant jazz instrumental trio, backs their cinematic melodies with solid grooves. While their aesthetic revolves around the piano-bass-drums formula, the use of various effects, synthesizers, atypical percussion and sampling, forms a sonic mosaic that transcends the traditional jazz idiom.
