7th Philharmonic Concert: Song of the Night
More details
There is no other symphony like this: two inner movements entitled "Night Music". As unusual as these movement titles are in a symphony, the characters of these two movements are just as unique. The first "Night Music" can be understood as a kind of nighttime walk, mixed with natural sounds such as birdsong and cowbells; the second is an idyllic serenade, in which the guitar and mandolin also have their say.
