A heart that melts. In a glittering imperial court, an icy princess guards her freedom by rejecting suitors who fail to solve her impossible riddles. When a courageous prince dares challenge her, a high-stakes game of wit and will begins, where every answer could be deadly. Featuring “Nessun dorma,” the most popular tenor aria of all time, Puccini’s Turandot brings striking spectacle and soaring sound to the stage in a North Carolina Opera company premiere.

A love that transcends. The mythical musician Orfeo descends into the underworld to reclaim his lost love, bound by one impossible condition: he must not look back. As doubt and longing take hold, each step forward risks losing her forever. In an intimate concert presentation, Gluck’s Orfeo & Euridice is stripped to its emotional core, where music carries the full weight of love, loss, and the fragile hope of holding on.
