The evening begins with the award-winning solo "PODE SER," a solo about the difficulties of being oneself. " Pode ser " means " It could be " in Portuguese. Through the angry body of a dancer, the question of being and non-being, of being able to be, of wanting to be, of having to be, reaches us. A solo about all the roles we play, will play, and have played. And about those we could have been, perhaps.

The end of the year is supposed to be quiet and contemplative, a cozy celebration with the family and to see the good in the world, a positive end to the year by candlelight, oh how nice that would be. And suddenly it hits us with full force. Evil is back and spreading. Creeping up from behind so we don't forget there's a war on. And here in this country people are asking themselves: Have we all gone mad? Our government is at halftime, old coal-fired power plants are being restarted, new parties are being founded - what are we playing at here? Dodgeball or the world is topsy-turvy? You have to pull yourself together not to lose your sense of humor. Schroeder helps and blows the whistle: "That's it!" - the only correct review of the year.
