Where the emperor once strolled, we are preparing the large Kurpark stage for an evening with Spanish flair: In a beautiful atmosphere, tenor Rolando Villazón and mezzo-soprano Gaëlle Arquez, together with the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid under the direction of Mexican conductor Alondra de la Parra, will present a classical night with a Spanish repertoire that can only be experienced in this form here. Of course, works by Manuel de Falla and parts from Georges Bizet's "Carmen" will be included – a dazzling work that has lost none of its popularity and expressive diversity to this day. But singing isn't the only thing that plays a role this evening: with Spanish orchestral works, the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid will demonstrate all of its talent and transport the audience to Southern Europe with its sounds.
