When the three brothers of Bidla Buh meet for the "Festival of Love," Advent becomes a fast-paced and crazy sleigh ride through Christmas songs. The Hamburg boys present themselves as a classical boys' choir or recorder trio, amaze with a tap dance to Bing Crosby's "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," and celebrate the Christmas feast with a virtuoso performance on plates and pots. With festive, jubilant trumpets, a delicate marzipan-like voice, soothing jazz guitar, or stoic drumming, the three charmers delight their audience at Schloss Johannisberg with less pre-Christmas contemplation, but instead with plenty of Advent fun. For 20 years now, the Rheingau Music Festival has been celebrating the Advent season with the sounds of the festive Bach Trumpet Gala. Together with Edgar Krapp on the organ and under the direction of Arnold Mehl, the Bach Trumpet Ensemble Munich will be making its annual visit to the Rheingau region. The Rheingau Cathedral in Geisenheim will provide the festive setting for a magnificent evening of concerts. Magnificent concerts and Christmas chorales by Johann Sebastian Bach and other masters of the High Baroque era will resonate in a festive atmosphere. A true delight every year!

It's become as much a festive Wiesbaden tradition as the large Christmas tree made up of thousands of red poinsettias in the foyer of the Kurhaus: every year, the Minister President of Hesse invites people to a contemplative Christmas concert. This year, alongside the Bundeswehr Music Corps, the Hesse State Youth Choir will once again be on stage, and will definitely put the audience in the Advent and Christmas spirit with well-known and new melodies, songs, and arrangements. By purchasing a ticket, you're not just doing something good for yourself: as always, the proceeds from the benefit concert go to a good cause. When the audience joins the musicians in singing Christmas carols at the end, Christmas can finally come.

Christmas elves, fir trees decorated with small Danish flags, and lots of candles make Christmas in Denmark particularly hygge. And, of course, music is also part of the Christmas tradition. The "Nordic Christmas" program celebrates the festival of love in a special way with selected Christmas carols from Northern Europe. Helene Blum and her husband Harald Haugaard have made a name for themselves with modern Nordic folk, bringing traditional songs from their Danish homeland into the here and now with contemporary arrangements - and this can also be wonderfully applied to Advent and Christmas songs. Together with other musicians, they present a musical Christmas in this concert in Wiesbaden's Ringkirche, which boasts all the beauty of the Nordic Advent season.

For many years, the man with the red trombone dreamed of celebrating a musical Christmas in the company of good friends and with a selection of very different Christmas carols that he had encountered over the course of his career. In 2006 the time had come, and because "Christmas With My Friends" was soon considered by fans and critics alike to be one of the most beautiful Christmas records ever recorded, several editions have since been produced. This format now also takes place with great regularity at the Rheingau Music Festival and attracts not only true jazz fans, but a broad audience during Advent to the beautiful Kurhaus Wiesbaden. With his musical confidants Jonas Knutsson, Johan Norberg, Clas Lassbo and the four singers Ida Sand, Sharon Dyall, Jessica Pilnäs and Jeanette Köhn, Nils Landgren ventures into traditional songs and cover versions of exquisite Christmas carols in this concert.
