Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele

The student becomes the teacher – and in turn learns from his students. Only four years separated Benjamin Appl's private lessons with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and the start of his teaching in London in 2016 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He also shares his knowledge in international workshops and masterclasses. "The wonderful thing about teaching is that you learn so much about yourself. I see teaching as learning," Appl explains in an interview with Klassik Radio. You can gain an insight into such a trusting and inspiring teaching situation at the public masterclass on July 14. He will work with selected vocal students from the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts (HMDK) for 30 to 45 minutes to fine-tune their song interpretations. The class is open to interested listeners, and admission is possible at any time during the afternoon.
