Handel in Italian & English

A meeting of early Italian secular music with later English sacred music: tenor Christoph Prégardien vividly demonstrates both with the most beautiful arias from Rodelinda, Tamerlano, Samson and Jephta, accompanied by the fabulous violinist Leila Schayegh and her ensemble, La Centifolia. Overtures and concerti grossi by Handel round out an already very varied programmed.
