With her role in the TV series Badehotellet, she has gradually become the epitome of Danish summer, and now Amalie Dollerup forms the vocal front when we traditionally celebrate the arrival of midsummer. We know her as an actress in a number of TV, film and theatre roles, but Amalie Dollerup is also an experienced singer, who in addition to a number of concerts has participated in several musical performances.

Shostakovich completed his Tenth Symphony in 1953 – just after Stalin’s death – and the work is seen as a depiction of the Stalin years in Russia, where millions of people died and those who did not die lived in constant fear. This also applied to Shostakovich, who had difficulty sleeping, chain smoked and lived in constant fear of being deported to Siberia.
