The concert opens and closes with two groundbreaking youth works by Richard Strauss, and between these there will be room for beautiful ballet music by Tchaikovsky and a world premiere of a brand new trumpet concerto by British Stephen McNeff with the orchestra's own Jonathan Clarke in the soloist role.
