This exciting and unusual three-concerto program features acclaimed soloist Evgeny Kissin, known for his charismatic virtuosity. These three sparkling but rarely heard concertos span the late Romantic/early modern periods. The BSO has only played Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s concerto once in 1914, and Scriabin’s on only two prior occasions, most recently in 2001.
