Iveta Apkalna, titular organist of the Elbphilharmonie, opens the organ season with works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Arvo Pärt, who celebrates his 90th birthday this year. In their faith and deep spirituality, the composers, both great organ masters, are kindred spirits.
