Maxi Haug started Shitney Beers as a solo project with melancholic indie folk songs. On the third album, "Amity Island," he's transformed it into genuine '90s indie rock with a five-piece band that puts you in a good mood. Despite some serious topics, from misgendering to heartbreak in the friend zone.
