Catalonia is said to be somewhat like Spain's "Gallic village"—proud, somewhat stubborn, and full of strong personalities. With the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra under the direction of its chief conductor Ludovic Morlot and world-class soprano Nuria Rial, important Catalan cultural ambassadors are coming to Hamburg—bringing music from their homeland with them, accompanied by perhaps the most famous pieces by Ravel and Debussy.
