Joja Wendt’s New Year concert in the Elbphilharmonie kicks off the New Year in exuberant, genre-transcending style. Traditionally, it’s an evening full of musical surprises with a reasonable chance that Hamburg’s incumbent mayor, Till Brönner, Tom Gaebel, Götz Alsmann or musical companions such as Inga Rumpf and Abi Wallenstein will drop by as surprise guests.
