Music has long been one of the most powerful vehicles for storytelling. The composers in Songs About Story draw from text, memory, and tradition to craft musical narratives that communicate across time.

Songs About Story

The Pasadena Community Orchestra is pleased to present its annual Young Artist Competition. The Competition is open to instrumental musicians between the ages of 12 and 24 and winners will perform with the orchestra in the spring. The Senior competition winner will be awarded a solo concerto performance with the orchestra and a $1,000 cash prize. The Junior competition winner will be awarded a solo performance – a single movement from a concerto – with the orchestra and a $500 cash prize.
