The UMD Wind Ensemble closes its 2024-25 season with a vibrant program showcasing works by leading wind band composers. Percy Grainger’s Children’s March: Over the Hills and Far Away opens the performance with its playful, almost folk-like charm, evoking the carefree spirit of children at play. In contrast, Carter Pann’s Hold This Boy and Listen, offers a more subdued and wistful reflection on childhood.
