Carl Nielsen’s bustling overture to his 1904 opera, Maskarade, launches this Nordic programme from the acclaimed partnership of Vasily Petrenko and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, joined here by regular collaborator, Simon Trpceski, for Grieg’s evergreen Piano Concerto.
