The celebrated Yorkshire pianist, Sarah Beth Briggs, makes her fourth visit to the series with another festive programme of simple and sparkling pieces. She begins with Scarlatti’s ‘Pastorale’ sonata, whose melody comes from an old Neapolitan Christmas song, and four of Mendelssohn’s charming song-like Christmas pieces.
