America the Beautiful is stunningly depicted in “Simple Gifts,” American jazz, the spirit of the dance and even a glorious moon rise in this quartet of works. You’ll hear Copland’s immortal Appalachian Spring Suite and his jazz-inspired Clarinet Concerto featuring CSO’s own Kellan Toohey, plus Montgomery’s Strum and Mason’s Princesa de la Luna.
