This Land is Your Land will take you on a journey through the American soundscape. We begin with the ringing of bells in Zwilich’s Celebration and the jazz and pop culture influences of Schifrin’s Tuba Concerto and Mission Impossible Theme featuring Chicago Symphony Tubist, Gene Pokorny. The second half of the program includes Giddens & Abels’ Pulitzer Prize-winning Omar Overture and Bernstein’s immortal Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.
