Together with the dancers of the company, Linder continues his research into hybrid forms of dance, treating these rare physical evolutions like precious jewels. Of particular interest is how the vocabulary of ballet can adapt its DNA through absorbing influences that are street, somatic and theatrical.

The oceans, after all, are the key to life on our blue planet, and as part of the LPO’s Harmony with Nature theme, Sir Mark Elder explores two very different perspectives on the sea: Vaughan Williams’ epic symphony of the human spirit, and Sibelius’ powerful depiction of the ocean waves.
