The Interlochen Arts Academy Choir and Wind Symphony unite for a performance of Christopher Tin’s viral piece Waloyo Yamoni. An inspiring setting of a Lango rain-making prayer from East Africa, Waloyo Yamoni(“we overcome the wind”) fuses classical and non-Western musical traditions in a sweeping work for choir, wind symphony, and vocal soloists.
